  Hands down the best vegan and organic/local/healthy food available in Cleveland, and the Rising Star coffee is served to perfection. The in-house pastries rotate frequently and are delicious. If you are in a rush, keep in mind that they are not serving fast food - REAL food takes time, particularly when cooked with care and love. The Culture (sandwich) will change your life. Great staff, kind and friendly owners and an inimitably-eclectic atmosphere...this is our third place, and this author owes much of the progress on his books to The Root!

  Hot chocolate was OK. Didn't try their coffee but it was relatively inexpensive so that's always nice. Atmosphere was very hipster, which I tend to enjoy. They have chess on some of the tables and I think that's really fun to have, though I didn't play.
  
  Overall not a bad place to come for coffee or to chat with a friend. If I'm getting coffee in the area again I would probably try somewhere else.
